The Other Way
Rediscover wisdom, power and flow in motherhood, menopause and career transitions.
Something shifts when we step into the transitions of motherhood, menopause, and career. These changes can wake us up to what’s been here all along: present awareness.
When we begin to see that thoughts come and go, emotions arise and pass, sensations shift and change, we start building a different relationship with our experience. We’re not trying to get rid of anything or fix ourselves.
We are simply noticing what’s temporary and what remains. What remains is the sense of being alive. The awareness that’s here right now as you read these words. That’s who you are, not the commentary running alongside it.
Through these three transitions of becoming a mother of three boys, navigating career shifts, and entering the transformative years of perimenopause and menopause, I began to discover something that had always been there waiting to be seen.
This book is an invitation to see it too.

“This is such a fantastic book. Open, honest and heartfelt. Kate is so real and authentic in her writing, it makes for a refreshing read. Talking from her own personal experience she discusses the three phases of womanhood. I have always thought of going through the menopause as a negative thing. Kate turns this notion on its head by seeing it as menopower. A natural time when our bodies are ending one phase of life only to open up a new time. I felt inspired and energised to embrace my 50s with a new understanding and insight. I am grateful for all the recommendations she shares for navigating this time of life. An inspirational read.”

“Kate is someone who has navigated this journey herself, learning a huge amount along the way and I am so grateful to her for the wisdom that she shares here. If you are one experiencing any of the transitions Kate talks about – it doesn't have to be all three – this book WILL help. It's a must read.”
